Coming all the way from our smallest state, Rhode Island – hospitality is the name of the game. I have worked just about every facet of the industry for the past 14 years. As much fun as it was, I had learned all I could and was ready for a new phase and challenge in my life. So, I packed myself up (and my pup) and headed to this big city.
While I am one of the newest members of the Guernsey team, I have all the confidence that I am able to care for and help solve anything that might come up for the end-user. And if I don’t know the answer, I have the upmost support here from the other account managers, customer service team, the warehouse guys, and all the way to Dave Guernsey himself. Everyone including myself really believes in the true value of quality service – not just a bottom line. This speaks volumes and makes me very excited to start establishing new relationships with customers. I want to be an imperative part of helping customers run more efficiently with fewer headaches. I’m here to guide you with all of Guernsey’s amazing offerings.
When I’m not in the office, you can find me out and about with my dog on hiking adventures. Oh, and if you ever interested in how to make a delicious cocktail or what wine would be great a holiday party, I’m your gal!
Hi! I see that you clicked on my bio, so I assume you would like to get to know a bit more. Work, work, work – it’s all I do. Over the many years I’ve been with Guernsey, my goal has always been getting what the customer needs, when they need it. I’m always willing to do whatever it takes to keep a big smile on their face. With all my experience on the field, I work closely with my clients to find the best possible solution. When I’m not in the office, you could find me rooting for my Philly teams and exploring what the world has to offer.
Oh hey, there’s my handsome son Alex over there.
I am a Florida native and have been in the DC area since 1985. Working at Guernsey gives me the pleasure of doing something different every day, helping customers, and continuing the friendships made with staff members through the 32 years I’ve been here. I strive to find the best solution for my customers, leaving them 100% satisfied not only with my service, but with our products. Some of my biggest industry-related accomplishments have been working on various projects with Capital Caring and The Catholic Diocese of Arlington. Throughout these many years in the industry, I’ve come to learn that respect, honesty, and trust are the true values that inspire me. You’ll find me scrapbooking, doing jigsaw puzzles, hiking, fishing and spending time with friends and family when I’m not working. Oh, and the beach is my favorite place and I wish I could spend more time there! Hopefully in retirement!
I’m extremely organized and I love paper clips, clip boards, and #2 pencils! I love long walks on the beach, long evenings organizing file folders, and a good cup of coffee waiting for my printer to finish my latest tech manual. If you love to talk high lighters, ballpoint pens, sticky note colors, and all manner of office organizing tools, I’m your girl. Oh, and if you need furniture, please take a look at my bio over at www.interiorsbyguernsey.com for some of my latest projects.
My name is Russ Bailey. I am an Account Manager here at Guernsey. I have been with the company since 2001, working my way from reception to accounting and through customer service to my current position in sales. One of the most important aspects of my job is solving problems for my customers, from hanging a whiteboard to finding the best source for a product based on the customer’s needs i.e., cost and time constraints. I pride myself on honesty, courtesy and providing excellent customer service, all at a fair price. My driving force is receiving a “thank you” email or phone call from a satisfied customer at the end of the day. I take great pride in working for a company that operates as a well-oiled machine all while treating its employees and customers like family. During my off time, I have volunteered with Soldier’s Angels since 2001, rescue animals and love to fish.
I serve as Executive Vice President of Interiors by Guernsey and am responsible for all aspects of the Furniture Sales and Operations for the Guernsey organization.
I have more than 39 years of experience in the Office Furniture industry. Prior to joining Guernsey in 2017, my wife, Carol, and I owned several companies, similar to Guernsey – that provided office products, office furniture and related services.
When not working, I’m still busy with community and other activities. I am Chairman of the Board of Fairfax Water, as well as a Founding Director of John Marshall Bank. For fun, I am a Principal in Barrel Oak Winery, voted Virginia’s Best Winery 2012 – 2019 as well as being named as ‘The #1 Family Friendly Winery in the World’ by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Not just a Wine snob, I’m also involved with Solace Brewing Company and Ornery Beer Company, a Brewpub and Restaurant.
I’m a University of Maryland Terrapin, earning degree in Business Administration and Finance. Carol and I have two grown sons, the older one who is recently married also works for Interiors by Guernsey.
I am a 1983 Graduate from Penn State University and in June of that year I started in Sales with a family owned Print Distributor in Harrisburg, PA. After 11 successful years I made a life changing decision to start my own Print and Promotional Products Distributorship. During the next 13 years of providing creative solutions and building business relationships with customers I recognized the industry was changing and needed to seek help to provide the personal attention the customers became accustomed to. I was fortunate and blessed to sell my company to an independent office products dealer which had the passion and commitment of helping customers to “provide the lowest total cost solution for products and services used in the workplace” – Guernsey’s Mission Statement!
My role as the Category Manager, Custom Print and Promotional Products for all of Guernsey over the past 12 years is to instill my enthusiasm and educate our sales team that promotional products are proven to be one of the most effective forms of promoting a company’s brand! I’m inspired by helping my co-workers succeed and enjoy learning and working together on projects which help in the overall growth and success of Guernsey. As a member of PPAI and with over 35 years of experience I continue to learn by attending educational trade seminars and visit with our partner vendors at trade shows throughout the year. We contribute to the customer experience by listening to the customers’ needs and develop a plan that will allow for a more efficient ordering process. A recent example would be the implementation of a Company Apparel Store, which saved valuable resources, time and money for the company involved.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife, Karen, which we recently celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary. We don’t travel much but we love to travel and look forward to visiting our 2 adult kids. Our daughter, Karlie who recently moved to Boulder, CO to pursue a graduate degree in movement therapy. She is also a Penn State Alumni. Our son, Michael a recent graduate of Penn State and is a PGA Professional. He just completed his first full time summer position as an assistant pro at Weston Golf Club just west of Boston. He will be working the winter months in Augusta, GA at Augusta National Golf Club, yes, the home of the MASTERS! My personal down time is spent on the golf course, I am an avid golfer and enjoy my 9-hole league during the summer months. I also enjoy cooking, working in the yard and having an adult beverage in the evening by the fire pit. My other passion, being a Penn State Alumni, is following Penn State Football.
I work in sales for my national account American Airlines and I also work in both the purchasing and contract pricing groups. I occasionally dabble in the promotional items team as well. I need to stay busy at work so I can afford my special needs rescue dog, my wine collection, and my camping hobby.
How can I make your life easier? If that means starting your morning with a great cup of coffee with one of our many break room options or providing hassle free, one stop shopping for all your office and janitorial needs, or providing next day shipping – I am ready to help! Creating relationships with each customer to learn their individual needs is the most important aspect of my job. I am a NOVA (Northern Virginia) native who enjoys spending time with my beautiful wife, a teacher of Fairfax Co., together we love exploring the wide variety of breweries and wineries that Virginia has to offer. I look forward to supporting my clients in all of their office needs and making their lives easier!
As a Sales Account Manager with Guernsey for over nine years, I have gained ample experience in the never ending flow of building and maintaining relationships with customers in an ever changing work environment. In a sales position, you are never caught up as there is always someone awaiting a warm welcome to Guernsey’s “We Can Do That” approach and existing customers relying on a dedicated rep (friend), customer service team, and driver to add value to the relationship of doing business.
My passion has always been hard work, helping people find the best cost solution, strategic implementation, indulging in sales efforts and a strong commitment to exemplary service for our customers. Guernsey allows me to push myself towards goals while being held accountable, but never jeopardizing my personality that guides my work day.
I believe you must love what you do and love where you work to truly be successful within a career and to feel a sense of balance between your professional and personal life. This notion holds true within the culture of Guernsey and I am without a doubt grateful and proud to work for supportive owners and managers, and with my external and internal customers who make the drive worth pushing the gas pedal! Or should I say the cow worth milking! I hold a strong record of earning new business with a positive outlook but also consider myself a team player; one who will step out of my focus box to help another rep for the “Good of the Cause”!
In my personal time I love to be outdoors playing with my frisbee dog, Wynston, a Border Collie, hiking, spoiling my cats with attention, volunteering, venturing to auctions, trying new recipes as cooking and baking is a hobby, and sipping on a good cup of Joe, a coffee snob I am! I also enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, dancing, photography and making memories with cherished friends and family.
I’m an Account Manager responsible for reaching out to new customers, retaining and developing new categories of workplace supplies with our client base. I offer solutions to companies on how to save both time and money while procuring the products that they depend on each and every day to run their operations. I started in the office supply business in 1983. I have worked for MS Ginns, Andrews Office Products and Guernsey. I have been with Guernsey for 21 years and love it. Guernsey works hand in hand with me to make sure our customers are receiving best in class service. In my off time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, hiking and camping and spending time with our growing family (8 grandkids and counting).
I am a father of two beautiful children and born again Christian. The past 5 years with Guernsey has been quite the experience, building relationships with customers and co-workers. I thrive to be the helping hand to simplify my customers’ professional lives by offering solutions to their everyday problems. Learning about the customer and providing solutions go hand-in-hand for me. No more workplace problems keeping them awake at night, that’s for sure.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my grandkids and my little from the Big Brother Big Sister program. I really enjoy traveling with my beautiful wife Diana. Together we enjoy exploring new locations and experiencing different cultures around the world. We also share our love of music by attending as many concerts as we possibly can together.
My life is very fast-paced between my marriage, our growing family, my career at Guernsey, my part-time studies, church, and my volunteer work at a local jail where I teach classes weekly. My role at Guernsey is a Business to Government and Business to Business representative. There is never a dull moment at Guernsey for me because I serve a wonderful clientele comprised of some major accounts. I serve large local government, educational, and commercial accounts with business products, office furniture, commercial coffee systems, and facility products for the workplace. Guernsey is a positive place to work. Mr. Guernsey and the senior management empowered me to grow to heights I had dreamed of, and set personal goals for when I was younger. It has been a great time with 13 years together so far.
During my time here, I’ve learned that customers need help with the complex problems they face in acquiring products for their workplace. I think what customers appreciate about what I bring to them is my honest and sincere desire to help them with well thought out solutions and recommendations. Handling complicated accounts with sophisticated electronic approval ordering and customized invoicing is my expertise. I provide customers a fast response to all inquiries, and to the best of my ability. I’ve also learned that helping and serving people is key to happiness. By serving customers and my employer with honesty and hard work, I have found my career to be very fulfilling. One thing that inspires me is when people who have “life stacked against them” find success.
In addition, over the years my various employers have recognized my accomplishments for serving customers. Here are some of the highlights for me:
1. Attained Presidents Club ranking while at working at Eastman, Inc. Eastman was a very large west-coast dealership.
2. Won a National Award for e-commerce sales while working at BT Office Products.
3. Achieved Chairman’s Circle 2 times while working at Office Depot.
4. Recognized as the top Business Development Manager II nationally, in a sales force of 400 reps, while at Office Depot.
5. Recognized as an annual top producer at Guernsey 5 different years.
When I’m not at work, I mostly enjoy spending time with my wife and family, but also enjoy the outdoors, strength training, and yoga classes. Beach bumming, power or sail boating, and traveling to new places are some of my favorite things to do. Oh, I forgot to mention, my wife is a gourmet cook! I am very spoiled.
Jim serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Guernsey, Inc. Prior to joining Guernsey, he served in financial management capacities over a varied group of industries with a focus on privately-held, middle market companies. Outside of his executive career, Jim has been a past board member with Big Brothers Big Sisters, a youth sport coach, a die hard follower of Philadelphia professional sports but you will currently find him using most of his leisure time following his 2 son’s sporting events.
I am the father of 3 fantastic kids and my wife and I just celebrated our 25th anniversary! I have been in the business products industry for 27 years, the last 6 with Guernsey; I think I have done just about every job in the industry and am currently the General Manager of our Mechanicsburg, PA branch. I know it sounds cliché, but the best part about working in this industry for Guernsey is meeting and interacting with people. I always put the customer first, every day we have a team of people that does whatever it takes to satisfy our clients – very customer centric. I have an Associate of Science (A.S.) focused in Business Management from Rock Valley College and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) focused in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Elizabethtown College. When not working I enjoy spending time with family and friends; going to movies, finding a new restaurant, discovering a new wine or chillaxin at the lake.
Hello!
My name is Ray Brosius and I am an Account Manager with Guernsey. I have been with Guernsey since August of 2014! I really enjoy building the business relationships and listening to my clients needs to partner with them for their workplace solutions. I strongly believe that a successful business partnership starts with integrity and a positive attitude. I am married to a wonderful lady for 18 plus years and we have 3 wonderful daughters. In my spare time, I enjoy running, coaching my daughters’ sport teams, spending time with my family and cheering for Penn State!
My name is Steve Vermillion and I have been a National Account Manager here at Guernsey since 1998. Representing an independently owned small business gives me greater flexibility in meeting my clients’ needs to provide products and tailor procurement solutions for their individual workplace environments. Excellent service has always distinguished Guernsey from others, and in today’s competitive marketplace, I value my client relationships and make communication and service my top priorities.
I grew up in Southern York County, Pennsylvania and attended school at Susquehanna University. My start with Guernsey started in college, working various jobs throughout the company and attaining knowledge about the business. Both the company and myself had plans for me to begin full time once I graduated. However, I ended up taking another position with Johnson Controls located in Baltimore Maryland. I worked there for about a year and half, and decided that it wasn’t for me. I truly missed Guernsey. I missed the atmosphere, I missed the relationships built with customers and most importantly I missed the family atmosphere. With this being said, I am currently an Account Manager at the Guernsey North office. I am very excited to begin this journey and I am looking forward to long term growth with Guernsey.
I came to Guernsey in 2017 as an Account Manager, with a strong background in personal banking and insurance/securities sales. Working for a family-owned business has been a breath of fresh air. I truly appreciate the tight knit culture I have with my coworkers, and I feel that flows through to our customers. I am a graduate of Millersville University with a Bachelors degree in History, focusing in European and American History. In my free time I play darts competitively, and am perusing a national sponsorship from the American Darters Association. I also enjoy traveling, historical nonfiction, and baking. In my free time I love to spend time with nieces and nephews, as they bring so much joy to my life.
I am a degreed Accountant that parlayed that background to support activities related to consultative sales during my 18 years with Guernsey. Most decision makers have a bottom-line orientation and helping them to reduce expenses is my emphasis. I am a straight shooter and team player. Cost Accounting is a key feature that I collaborate with the E-commerce team to advise customers to streamline and capture their financial activities. When not working I enjoy playing chess and board games.
During Frank Ferraro’s past year as an Account Manager with Guernsey, Inc., he has found that he most enjoys interacting with his customers to fulfill their product needs. He brings 27 years of sales experience, and a real love for the industry, to the table. Outside of work, his interests include playing guitar, riding his Harley Davidson Road King, and watching baseball. He has been a resident of the greater Harrisburg, PA area for 36 years and currently resides in Etters, PA (conveniently located between York and Harrisburg).
My name is Danny Lewis and I manage the Guernsey operation in Richmond, a role I assumed four years ago, although I have been with the company for 11 years. Through 21 years in the industry, I have essentially done it all… from the ground up which gives me experience and perspective that not everyone has. As manager of the Richmond office, my roles are endless and always expanding, but the most important aspect of my job is providing great customer service to those in the Richmond market by forming relationships. That is why we are here, to serve your needs in any capacity in a growing industry that is not just office supplies but so much more from breakroom to ink & toner to janitorial and paper. When I am not holding down the fort in Richmond, I am spending time with my family, watching a funny movie and enjoying my love of sports.
I have been with Guernsey for 3 years. Prior to that I had been in the office supplies industry since 1979 as an independent sales contractor. I currently work on the sales support side of the business dealing with our customers doing research, pricing, assisting with orders, and returns; as well as new business development. Personalized service is how I started in this industry and after all of these years it is still the number 1 goal. My job is to make our customer’s job easier. When I hear a customer say, “thanks for helping me get this project off of my desk” I know that I have done my job.
I am the General Manager of our Beltsville, MD location. I have been in this industry my entire adult life and have been with Guernsey for the past 19 years. One of the reasons that I really like working here is that our company empowers employees to make decisions to take care of customer needs. There are no organizational roadblocks to providing good customer service. I also enjoy the people that I encounter….fellow employees, customers, everybody. When I am not working, I like sports and I really like all my family, including our beagle.
I joined Guernsey, Inc. in April 1986 and my first position was Data Entry. Now, I have more than 30 years of experience in the office products industry. Before moving into sales I served as a customer service representative and eventually worked my way up to Senior Account Manager. What I like most about Guernsey is its ability and willingness to adapt to the changes in the market place and to the needs of their customers. What I like most about my job is meeting people and assisting them in their duties of providing those products and services that are a workplace necessity. When I am not working, I like to enjoy time with family and friends.
With over 25 years of industry experience, I couldn’t be happier servicing my clients at Guernsey. From our friendly customer service staff to the quick responding Breakroom Dept and unbelievable Furniture Personnel, it’s a great place to come to work to be of service to my clients.
I’m an experienced Account Executive with a demonstrated history of consultative selling in the business supplies industry. I’m skilled in Customer Service, Business Development, and Account Management. I’m also a strong sales professional that loves Jeeps, enjoying the outdoors, and is always willing to help.
I have been in the industry for 30 years and have been fortunate enough to have worked at Guernsey for the last 19 years. As a Senior Account Executive, I view my role as being an advocate for my clients’ needs. Whether the clients’ needs are a simple supply or janitorial order to a complex design/installation project, I will utilize all the resources at my disposal. My greatest strength is building strong relationships with my clients. You will find me to be an effective listener and follow through with precision communication both with you and within my company. I have experience in servicing small businesses, large corporations and institutional clients in all aspects of Guernsey’s products and services. I mentioned previously that I was fortunate to work at Guernsey. Unlike many of our competitors, Guernsey shares my client centric philosophy. As a privately owned company, I am able to draw upon the advice and counsel of the entire team up to and including David Guernsey in order to provide you with thorough, timely and flexible services to meet your needs.
I was born in Hawaii and raised in Maryland. I went to school at The Citadel where I played football and majored in education. I raised two sons who attended University of Maryland. They both work for the United States Government. I’ve been in the office supply business for thirty years and have worked for Guernsey twenty of those years because of the good service, management and their ability to take care of all my customers needs. Now, I’m a proud grandfather of a baby boy and in my spare time I like to visit my family and friends and play golf.
I am from Louisiana and moved to Maryland in 1st grade. I started with Guernsey right out of college and currently am a sales rep in Team 16. I love that the company appreciates hard work and puts the customer first. I try to provide an excellent customer experience whenever I can and have been setting expectations and mitigating problems and issues that arise for the last 13 years. Along the way, I’ve learned that customer satisfaction is a great feeling and that is what inspires me to be motivated and dedicated. When I’m not busy working, I love to spend time with good friends and relaxing at home while building legos.
I’ve been at Guernsey for 20+ years now and currently work as a National Sales Representative for both Commercial and Government markets. I have to say it’s the best place I’ve ever worked. During my many years in the industry, I’ve learned to take pride in myself for taking great care of all of my clients, both large and small. I work hard every day to better provide for my family and I always treat my customers the way that I expect to be treated. I’m dedicated to providing the best possible customer service experience to my clients, along with Karla Davis, my customer service representative, and the entire Guernsey Team. We strive to make a positive impression daily and provide value to all of my clientele. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family the most. I’ve been married to my wife, Debbie for 30 years and am the father of two children. I’m so very proud of my daughter who is currently enrolled in Medical School in Florida and my son, who is a Vice President of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management & Financial Services in North Bethesda, MD. I also enjoy tennis, fishing, golf, traveling, cooking, gardening and working in the yard.
I have two children, both now in high school. I was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Florida until I came to Maryland for a job opportunity with a water company that I had been working for. After 10 years in the water filtration industry, I wanted to get into something that gave me more variety. I’ve found that and more in the workplace supplies industry, in which I’ve worked for the past 25 years. I found my true home with Guernsey 18 years ago when I joined the team as a sales executive. Guernsey is a company that reflects my commitment to professional excellence, the vehicle in which I can bring my high standard of excellent customer service and value to organizations. When not working, I love spending time with my kids and my dog. I also love to adventure and find new places to explore.
I grew up in Northern Virginia in the Alexandria area where I raise two wonderful children, both VA Tech graduates with their accounting degree and CPAs… Go Hokies! I’ve been in the office products business for over 40 years in some capacity. I started in the warehouse as a receiving and shipping clerk. Due to my hard work and dependability, I was promoted to warehouse manager and finally into sales for the last 28 years. I joined the Guernsey team over 20 years ago and never looked back. We have excellent management, customer service, and Dave Guernsey who is always innovating and adding new services to accommodate our customers and to help us grow. Being a manager in the past has helped me to understand many of the issues that my customers face daily, allowing me to offer suggestions that I or Guernsey can offer to make doing business a little easier. Many of my customers have worked with me for many years due to my reliability 24/7 on call, close working relationship and a company that offers superior support well known in the industry for excellence. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, friends, working out and staying fit.
HI! My name is Alex and I am a sales consultant at Guernsey. Customers have been seeking advice from me on how to keep their employees happy for over 11 years. It gives me great pleasure building and maintaining relationships, as well as making sure my customers’ needs are met. I strongly believe that business relationships are what separates me from my competitors, as well as my eagerness to go the extra mile for my clients. Special requests, deadlines, same day delivered items by yours truly? I can do that! If I’m not on the job seeing my customers, you can find me hiking, traveling or at the gym.
I was born in DC and have lived in the area my whole life. I have worked as an account manager in the workplace product industry for the past 25 years, the last 13 of which have been with Guernsey. I have a passion for small independent businesses and believe it to be the economic backbone of our nation. I believe Guernsey is the best company in the workplace product industry. I bring that passion to my customers each day in my drive to deliver the best value in the marketplace.
I began my career in the Office Products industry in 1979. In 1992, I joined Guernsey as a sales rep and have continued in that roll. I am a native Virginian having lived here my entire life. Outside of the office, I enjoy working out and visiting the many wineries Loudoun and the surrounding counties have to offer. I am a huge fan of college and professional football. My two favorite teams are The University of Notre Dame “Fighting Irish” and the Washington Redskins. Here is what I can promise to my customers, “If we can communicate openly and honestly, I will become your most profitable resource.”
I have been with Guernsey since I was 21 years old and wouldn’t work anywhere else… this is my family. I also have a wonderful daughter who is just going into college this year. I live down at Lake Anna on the water and love boating and kayaking with my wife and two dogs. I like to call myself a cost cutter when it comes to my customers. It is very important to me to stay on top of my customers’ budget to show value. I’m always looking for ways to cut cost on what they purchase. I love dealing with national organizations by running reports to keep them involved. It’s all about keeping them focused on the right items to purchase.
I have been helping the DC area drink better coffee for over 20 years. I started in this industry at another company that mainly focused on office coffee service and some supply. Before that, I managed a coffee shop at American University. So I am pretty much the coffee queen. I also know a lot about boxes due to my time as the President of Alexandria Packaging before Guernsey. I joined Guernsey because they were my toughest competitor. You know the saying if you can’t beat them join them, well I did. It was a very good choice to join the Guernsey team. I now live at Lake Anna where I very much enjoy lake life. My daughter, Kelsey Shea is now another Guernsey employee which I love. I’m also very proud of my son as he’s a US Marine now deployed on ship for the next six months. If you are ever on the lake, look for me… I will be kayaking with my pup!
I am an account manager for Guernsey. I have been here for over 31 years. Outside of work, I like playing golf & watching sports.
I have 2 grown children and 4 beautiful grandchildren – twins that are 10, their 9-year-old sister, and the baby who will be 2 soon. I’ve worked at Guernsey for about 19 years and currently work as a sales rep. I love the local, hands-on approach at Guernsey and I enjoy helping solve customers’ problems and making their jobs easier for them. I like to stay hands-on with my customers, informing them of new items on the market that could help them. In addition, I like to think outside the box and find savings for my customers through reports and keeping everyone on a budget. Reports are helpful also to keep everyone on a budget. I was brought up with the idea that hard work pays off and I’ve been very lucky to reap the benefits of my hard work and share the rewards with my family. When I’m not working, I love to garden both flowers and vegetables. I cut enough flowers each week to fill about 10 vases. I also find old furniture, fix it up, and paint it, if needed. Once the furniture is beautiful again, I sell the pieces to give them new life. I also make decorative tooth fairy pillows. My newest hobby is going in the woods and four-wheeling with friends.
I’ve been with Guernsey as an account manager for 1.5 years and so far very much enjoying my time. Through getting to know the customer, I can help find the best fitting products for their needs. Helping customers make their work-lives easier has been a great motivator for me. When I’m not working, I enjoy activities with my wife, daughter, family and friends.
I have been assisting customers with their office needs for the past 32 years, hard to believe! Guernsey has been giving me the valuable resources to meet my customers’ needs for the past 18 years. When not busy with work, I enjoy gardening, cooking, bringing people together and volunteering in different organizations.
I graduated with a B.S. degree in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech in 1986. I’ve been with Guernsey since 2000 and currently work as a senior account manager focused on county government and school accounts, but also do business with commercial and federal government accounts. Day to day, I’m responsible for new business development and account penetration by introducing a broad product line. In addition, I help customers streamline their procurement process by reducing costs associated with acquisition, distribution, storage, and accounting for office products overhead. I pride myself in being a resource to our clients with the ability to be a problem solver and partner that makes our client’s job easier and also helps them to shine within their own organization. I enjoy working at Guernsey because of the high level of professionalism throughout all of the company’s departments. It’s great to feel like part of a team that is driven to give customers a world-class ongoing B2B experience. I am a huge music fan and have played guitar since I was twelve and occasionally play in public settings. I also enjoy playing golf and watching and rooting for all of the D.C area’s major sports teams.
As an account executive, I enjoy helping people find creative solutions to their challenges. Whether it’s a furniture project or finding the softest toilet tissue, it’s all in the details. Working at Guernsey allows me to use whatever creative measures are needed to achieve the client’s goals and seeing the end result is always so gratifying. That’s why I love working here. In my free time, I enjoy working on DIY projects, gardening and finding new places to explore.
I have been a sales rep at Guernsey for 12 years and have made the incentive trip a number of times. I enjoy live music, especially the ‘Boss” Bruce Springsteen!
As a long-time lover of coffee and office supplies, sharing my enthusiasm with our valued Guernsey customers is a true joy for me. I have a strong customer service background and have transitioned into a more sales centric role over the past two years. I am an animal and nature lover and live in Washington DC, where I enjoy experiencing the local community and taking my dog on adventures around the District. Making my customers happy is what drives me every day, I will always go the extra mile for all my customers.
My favorite part of working with Guernsey over the past 16 years has been learning about our customer’s unique facilities needs and helping them to find solutions for problem areas. There is nothing more satisfying than partnering to improve the health and cleanliness of a customer’s place of work.
I have been with Guernsey for almost 34 years and a sales rep for most of my time here. I most enjoy the relationships I have formed with customers and co-workers alike during my time with Guernsey. I am driven by trying to service my customers to the best of my ability and I am lucky to work with some great people who help me in this cause. Being with the same company for over three decades is something I take pride in, and I am happy and proud to be a part of the Guernsey team. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my two grown twin daughters, a husband who is also a long-time Guernsey employee, and our loving dog.
A native of Wilmington, Delaware, I’ve been with Guernsey for 34 years. It’s been a great pleasure to watch Guernsey grow and prosper over these years and I’ve enjoyed my role as an account rep. It’s also wonderful to work with all my terrific colleagues at Guernsey, we’re lucky to have such great people! I have two grown twin daughters who are my inspiration and keep me young! I enjoy running, biking, camping, hiking and playing ice hockey in my spare time. I hope to continue to service my customers for many more years.
I am a native Northern Virginian with three grown kids living in Ashburn. I’ve been an outside salesman for GOP for 20 years and enjoy meeting people and learning about businesses in the area. I value the face-to-face experience of dealing with a client/partner in their environment and helping with their office needs. When not at work I enjoy helping my wife stage and renovate homes.
I love church and all things sports related! I have worn many hats over my 20 years at Guernsey and currently enjoy being back in sales. I appreciate the family atmosphere Guernsey has cultivated for almost 50 years! I like being a problem solver for our customers and being their “go to” person when help is needed.
With over 25 years of retail experience, I understand the rigors of owning your own business. When I sold my business I decided to make a change in my career path, I was fortunately able to join the Guernsey team. I have always pushed to make the customer experience the most important aspect of my business life. Guernsey’s entire culture is dedicated to our customers and every touch point is in place to ensure we can exceed our customer’s expectations. I love that about this company. They care more about their customers than any company I have ever worked for in my past. During my down time I enjoy boating and traveling.
Jeremy is an avid outdoorsman who loves to climb anything including rocks, trees and mountains. With an extensive background in sales and marketing, Jeremy is always looking for ways to create custom solutions to meet customer’s needs.
The name is Scott, Account Manager, for Guernsey. As I recently started working here, I enjoy the team atmosphere and the willingness of the co-workers to help out, truly feels like family. I believe in having a good relationship with the customer and providing great customer service to them. When dealing with a customer, I feel it’s important to treat them with the respect you would want if you were a customer of theirs. To me that will lead to a great relationship.
I am married and have 2 sons and 3 step kids. When I am not at work, I enjoy watching sports, especially college football and basketball. Also, I love spending time with my wife and family. Fun fact: in the summer, I am involved in setting off professional fireworks displays.

For over a decade, I have worked in a sales role focusing on design and business. I started my career at Guernsey as an Account Manager in September 2018. I was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania and studied at Pennsylvania State University, where I achieved my bachelor’s degree. Afterwards I got my M.B.A. from Lebanon Valley College. Those that know me well, would say I am an extremely detail oriented, organized and motivated person. My favorite parts of this organization are the support teams and management that truly do help you every step of the way to provide great customer satisfaction. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children preferably outside enjoying the sunshine at the pool or beach. I enjoy traveling to new places and love exploring old architecture. I am also an avid runner and enjoy do-it-yourself projects. Hello!
I am Michelle Burger and I have been working in this industry for over 30 years and still loving it! Guernsey is a great company to work for as they truly care about their employees. The well-polished and professional team at Guernsey is created by loyalty and tenure. I can truly say Guernsey is passionate about their business and it shows. I’ve enjoyed every moment of my time at Guernsey. Some of my favorite projects was working with ABC 27’s new look and getting to see the furniture design whenever I watch the news. Assisting with UCPA’s new surgery center and putting on heels and a hard hat was also one of my special memories. I love meeting new people, building business relationships, and listening to my customers’ needs. I take pride in my drive for creating solutions that work best for my customers and guiding them to make the purchasing decisions that will work best for them. I’ve learned to believe a successful business relationship starts with integrity and a positive can-do attitude.
In my personal life, I have a true passion for working on projects that allow me to design and enjoy transformation. You can find me remodeling, decorating, and landscaping during my free time.
I am the mother of a sweet 9 year old boy. Born and raised in Hanover, PA, I attended law school after college where I graduated in the top of my class. After practicing law for nine years in Philadelphia, I switched gears to pursue a career in sales and loved every minute since. I have been with Guernsey for four months and find it to be one of the best places I have ever worked. When not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also love reading, cooking, movies, arts & crafts, camping, and exploring new places.
The thing I love about Guernsey is that it is family-owned and customer focused. I have been with the company for 19 years and currently take the role as a Senior Account Manager that specializes in Educational Procurement. Throughout the years my drive has been fueled by values of honesty, integrity, and the can do spirit of everything and anything. Positivity inspires me to do what I do today and keeps me going. Putting myself in the customer’s shoes and getting back through answers quickly is the name of the game. My goal is to focus on the solutions, always putting the customer first. When I’m not in the office you find me spending time with family, friends and my pets.
Integrity has been the drive for me the past 25 years working for Guernsey and that means doing what I say I’m going to do. I truly do believe that actions speak louder than words. Throughout the years I appreciate the fact that Guernsey is not a typical corporate feel, being able to have conversations with the senior management and the higher-ups as they are active and present with the company in all phases.
My goal is to assist businesses by implementing simple strategies that help reduce expenses and create a more efficient procurement process. When I’m not in the office, I like to spend time with my family, travel, and go fishing. Oh, and anything about sports – I’m your man.
I spent 31 years running our family owned and operated business in Lebanon, PA. Harpel’s Inc. transformed from a gift and photo store (founded in 1899 by my Great-Grandfather) to a Mega Office Products and Office Furniture, Photography and Printing super-store. The digital market changed the photography and printing business and after 112 years of the Harpel Legacy, decided to close the store and step into the corporate world of banking. Financial services have taught me skills to abide by a government regulated industry. Compliance and regulations are prevalent in almost every industry we find today. Adapting to those changes are what make you and your business successful. I call this the “Chameleon Effect” – adapt your business philosophy (change colors) before they change you.
Price isn’t the only thing that drives customer satisfaction and dedication to your company. Consumer confidence in the vendor they choose outweighs pricing in most but not all situations. Adapt and solve those issues disturbing the market, come up with a “solution to satisfy”, and you will create what I like to call CFL’s or Customers for Life.
Currently, I am the North Regional Sales Manager for Guernsey. I oversee and manage the Sales Force Team in Mechanicsburg, PA. Although Guernsey is not a small company, I love the small-town, home-grown feeling of working here. You are not just a number and your input is taken into consideration and respected on up to the highest levels. Going onto my 5th year working for Mr. Guernsey, I’m happy I made the transition to this unique organization. My inspiration comes through the individual and team successes accomplished. When you design or develop a program/concept that works and is measurable in an increased sales effort, you have done your job as a leader to inspire and direct the sales force.
In my free time I enjoy going for long walks on a beautiful “rails-to-trails” with my wife Patty and watching my kids succeed in all they strive to do!
I am an Account Manager in the Central Virginia region. I’m a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and still call Richmond my home. I’ve worked at Guernsey for six years and have been very focused on the client experience. My background is service oriented which makes me a perfect fit with the Guernsey team. I’ve been working with the government contracts team for several years and work with various state agencies as well as several localities. My experience with the contracts team allows me to leverage this knowledge to ensure my clients get the best possible products and pricing. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and puppy. We all like to ride the Capital Trail, take in a Flying Squirrels baseball game, and visit one of the many state parks.
I have worked in the office furniture industry for 26 years. I started with assembly and deliveries on the warehouse side and worked my way into sales and design. The last 19 years I have worked with design and furniture layouts using AutoCAD/Giza and expanded that to cover project management.
I am the furniture specialist/project manager for the Guernsey office in Mechanicsburg, PA. I work with our sales reps when they have furniture questions or project opportunities. I attend meetings with customers to review their furniture needs, put together the design and pricing and then work with our installers to get the delivery and installation completed. My role is to be involved and accessible to the customer the entire way through the buying process.
I have worked with Guernsey for 7 years. My favorite thing about Guernsey is the relaxed family atmosphere. We have a great team that I enjoy being around each day, working and learning together as we grow our industry.
I am inspired to see new office spaces completed and hear the excitement from customers when they have the opportunity to see their ideas come to life. I love working on the details of things and feel accomplishment when a furniture project that started as an idea on paper turns into a functioning business space.
I have completed computer AutoCAD design classes and received certification from various manufacturers on training and knowledge of their products.
I try to present options to our customers so that they feel they can make an informed decision and get the best products for their needs and budget.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family or in the garage rebuilding old motorcycles. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, either hiking or riding bikes. One of my favorite things to do is to find a new trail for a bike ride and just enjoy the relaxation of exploring a new area.
